The Tucson SE 2.0L 4-cylinder engine gets up to an EPA-estimated 31 MPG Highway. The Eco, Sport and Limited’s 1.6 Turbo GDI engine steps up the horsepower to 175 and can still deliver up to an EPA-estimated 33 MPG Highway.* Both engines were designed to give you the optimal balance of horsepower and MPG.
The standard 6-speed automatic delivers smooth power and efficient highway cruising. Select the class-exclusive available 7-speed EcoShift® Dual Clutch Transmission and enjoy a direct connection that provides a balance of fuel economy and performance.
A redesigned multi-link rear suspension provides a confident response for drivers and a composed ride, especially on rough road surfaces. Up front, the Tucson features an independent strut design with coil springs and gas-pressurized SACHS® shock absorbers. While Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) offers a more natural driving feel.
This available feature gives drivers improved traction and greater cornering capability in turns by transferring engine torque to the rear wheels and applying braking force to the inside rear wheel. The result is improved cornering performance and all-weather capability. For driving off-road and in slippery conditions there’s also a driver-selectable AWD lock which allows for a 50/50 split of available torque between the front and rear wheels.
This available feature makes loading and unloading your Tucson more convenient. The Hands-free Smart Liftgate opens automatically when it senses the Proximity Key is behind the vehicle within three feet for more than three seconds.
Once you’re in the Tucson, look up—all you’ll see is open sky. The available panoramic sunroof extends from the front seats to the back, bringing in light, fresh air and bliss.
Imagine what you could see with a lighting system that moves as you do. Well, that’s the idea behind Tucson’s available Dynamic Bending Lighting System. It’s designed to turn the headlights with the direction of the curve as you turn the steering wheel. Very illuminating.
Once you’re in the Tucson, look up—all you’ll see is open sky. The available panoramic sunroof extends from the front seats to the back, bringing in light, fresh air and bliss.
A standard 5-inch color touchscreen audio system with rearview camera offers enhanced audio quality and rear visibility. Select the available 8-inch touchscreen with premium audio system and 8 speakers. It also comes with HD Radio™ technology and SiriusXM Satellite Radio for the best commercial-free radio with a complimentary three-month subscription. Plus the built-in smart phone/USB and auxiliary input jacks let you access your smart phone through the audio controls, display track and artist information, even charge it as it plays.
Ease, precision and accessibility start with steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. Well-lit gauges and a dash designed at the perfect angle for better visibility further enhance the driving experience. An intelligent multifunction trip computer keeps you updated about your average speed, average MPG and even how many miles to empty.
Tucson’s available navigation system makes getting to your destination easier with voice-recognition—for directions without distractions. The interactive 8-inch touchscreen has an enhanced split-screen display that lets you see navigation and audio info on the same screen. Available apps include Pandora®, SoundHound and Yelp. Plus, SiriusXM Travel Link* allows you to search for nearby businesses like gas stations, ATMs or restaurants. It also gives you a clear picture of current traffic situations, the weather, stocks and sports, all in real time—it can even let you know fuel prices and movie times.

Offered as options or upgrades by some competitors, Tucson’s standard Hillstart Assist Control minimizes backward roll when stopped on steep hills, while the Downhill Brake Control helps you maintain control when you’re slowly descending down a steep hill.
Along with the standard rearview camera, Tucson’s available rear parking sensors make backing up easier. Sensors in the rear bumper give you an audible warning that increases in frequency and tone as you get closer to objects it detects in the area behind your vehicle.
Drift outside your lane without signaling and this available system is designed to inform you with an audible and a visual cue. It turns technology into a tool that helps drivers maintain vehicle control and lane positioning.
